Pair of Gilt Iron Candle Wall Sconces with Roses

Date: ca. 1930s-1960s. A lovely pair of gilt iron toleware wall sconces. They are composed of a vase shaped back plate with pierced scrolls and a rose shaped candle sconce on a curved stem. They are made of sheet iron (i.e. Tole) that has been gilded over a red underground. There are little holes on the back of the candle holders indicating that these were wired at some point in time. Seeing as the sconces are larger than most candles you would need to secure the candles (with cardboard ring or sticky tack for example). Condition: Good. No damage. Aged patina of the gilding. Dimensions: 21 cm high, 11 cm wide, 12 cm deep. 8.3” high, 4.3” wide, 4.7” deep.
